Sandwich chutney can be prepared in two ways, with fresh coconut and without coconut. Here is the recipe coconut based chutney with coriander leaves, green chillies and garlic. It can be flavoured with mint leaves too.
Measurement: 1Cup = 180 ml
Ingredients:
- Scrapped coconut - 1/2 cup
- Coriander leaves - 3/4 cup
- Green chilly - as per your requirement
- Garlic - 6 to 8 cloves
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Combine all the ingredients, and grind it to a fine paste.
- Use for making sandwiches.
Tip:
- You may add 6 to 8 mint leaves (pudina) also to it. If you want to avoid garlic, then add a pinch of cumin seeds.
- It can be served even with wadas, pakoras, idli etc.
- Instead of lemon juice, tamarind can be used.
