Goan Samosa


Ingredients:
  1. Ready made samosa patti - 12
  2. Potatoes - 4 medium size
  3. Onion - 2 medium
  4. White peas (boiled) - 1/4 cup
  5. Green chillies (chopped) - 2
  6. Ginger ( grated) - 1/4 tsp
  7. Garlic (crushed) - 4 cloves
  8. Mustard seeds - 1 pinch
  9. Turmeric powder - 1/3 tsp
  10. Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  11. Corriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tbsp
  12. Oil for stuffing - 1.5 tbsp
  13. Oil for deep frying
  14. Maida paste for sealing 
  15. Salt to taste
Procedure:
  • Boil potatoes with salt and let them cool. Refrigerate for sometime. Peel them and cut into cubes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Add onion and stir fry till onion softens.
  • Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, garam masala, turmeric powder and stir fry for half a minute.
  • Sprinkle little salt.
  • Add potatoes, peas, corriander and salt.
  • Mix well and keep it on low flame for 2 min.
  • Let it cool slightly.

  • Take samosa pattis and fill them one by one. Seal with maida flour paste. The wrapping instructions are given on the packet.
  • Deep fry and serve hot with tomato ketchup
Tip:
  • You may add carrots too in filling preparation.
  • These wrappers are available in super stores/ hyper markets where frozen foods are available.
  • These wrappers can even be made at home.
