Ingredients:
- Potato (cubed) - 2 medium size
- Fresh peas - 3/4 - 1 cup
- Onion (chopped) - 1 medium size, (sliced) - 1small size
- Scrapped coconut - 2-3 tbsp
- Tamarind pulp - 1 tbsp
- Malvani garam masala - 1.5 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Kashmiri mirchi - 1
- Star anise - 1 petal
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a wok and add star anise.
- Fry till it gives aroma and keep it aside.
- Fry kashmiri mirchi and keep it aside.
- Add sliced onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add scrapped coconut to it and stir fry till it turns brown.
- Grind it by adding star anise, kashmiri mirchi and water.
- Keep the paste aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry chopped onion till translucent.
- Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp malvani masala, potatoes and peas.
- Mix well.
- Add water and salt.
- Once it gets cooked, add 1 tsp malvani masala and tamarind pulp.
- Add ground paste and required quantity of water.
- Simmer for 3-5 min.
- Garnish with coriander.
- Serve with chapati or bhakari.
