Kandyachi Koshimbir (Onion Raita)




Kandyachi koshimbir is a side dish prepared in Maharashtrian style.

Measurement: 1 Cup = 180 ml
Serves: 2

Ingredients:
  1. Onion (chopped) - 1 large
  2. Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  3. Green chilly (chopped) - 1
  4. Roasted peanut powder - 11/2 tbsp
  5. Sugar - 1/4 tsp 
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Corriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tsp
  8. Cumin poader - a pinch (optional)
  9. Chilly powder - a pinch (optional)
Procedure:
  • Take mixing bowl and combine all the ingredients numbering 1 to 6 and mix well.
  • Sprinkle chilly powder and cumin powder.
  • Garnish with corriander leaves.
  • Serve as a side dish to the meal.
Tip:
  • You may give it a tempering with mustard seeds or cumin seeds and a hing.
