Kelyachi Koshimbir / Banana Raita


Kelyachi koshimbir is a Maharashtrian dish. It is a sweet raita. Sliced banana with yogurt dressing and a tempering of cumin seeds. 

Serves: 2 to 3
Ingredients:
  1. Banana (sliced) - 2 optimally ripe
  2. Yoghurt - 1 cup
  3. Green chilly (chopped) - 1
  4. Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tsp
  5. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  6. Ghee - 1/2 tsp
  7. Sugar - 1.5 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
Procedure:
  • Mix yoghurt, green chilly, coriander, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Give it a tempering with cumin seeds in ghee.
  • Add banana and mix well at the time of serving.
  • Serve it as a side dish.
