Shell Macaroni with Mushrooms & Corn in Garlic Sauce



Macaroni is a type of pasta cooked in garlic sauce having a white sauce base. 

Measurement: 1 Cup = 180 ml
Serves: 3 to 4

Ingredients:
  1. Macaroni - 2 cups
  2. Mushrooms (chopped) -  1 packet 200 gm
  3. Sweet corn (blanched) - 1/2 cup
  4. Bell pepper (finely diced) - 1/4 cup (Any colour)
  5. Butter - 1.5 tsp
  6. Oregano/ Parsley - 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
  7. Pepper powder - 1/8 tsp
  8. Garlic cloves (chopped) - 4-5
  9. Garlic Sauce
For the Garlic Sauce:
  1. Maida - 1.5 to 2 tbsp
  2. Milk - 1/2 ltr
  3. Butter - 1 tbsp
  4. Garlic cloves (crushed) - 20
  5. Pepper powder - 1/8 tsp
  6. Cheese (grated) - 2 cubes
  7. Sugar - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Procedure:
  • Prepare garlic sauce and keep it aside.
  • Cook macaroni as per packet instructions.
  • In the meanwhile, melt butter in a pan and add chopped garlic.
  • Add oregano and pepper powder.
  • Add bell pepper and stir fry for a minute.
  • Add mushrooms and stir fry till they soften.
  • Add corn and sprinkle little salt.
  • Add garlic sauce.
  • Macaroni will be done by now, add it to the mixture and simmer for 2 min.
  • Serve hot with garlic bread.
For the sauce:
  • Boil milk and keep it aside
  • Melt butter in a pan and add half the garlic.
  • Add maida to it and stir fry till it gives out aroma.
  • Let it cool.
  • Add boiled milk to it.
  • Whisk it and bring it to boil by stirring continuously.
  • Add remaining garlic, black pepper , salt and sugar, stir well .
  • Add cheese, stir and take it off the fire.
