Dhirde


Ingredients:

  1. Rice flour - 2/3 cup
  2. Besan - 1/3 cup
  3. Onion (chopped) - 1 large sized
  4. Green chillies (chopped) - 2
  5. Corriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tbsp
  6. Cumin powder/ cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
  8. Baking soda - a pinch
  9. Yoghurt - 1 tbsp (optional)
  10. Water - 2 1/4 cup
  11. Ghee for frying


Procedure:

  • Mix all the ingredients except ghee in a mixing bowl and make a thin batter.
  • Heat a frying pan and grease it.
  • Pour batter with a ladle, let it take its own shape.
  • Once it gets cooked, flip over and pour ghee around the edges.
  • Fry till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
