Mushroom Onion Mix Dal Pakoda



Ingredients:
  1. Urad dal 3 tbsp
  2. Chana dal 4 tbsp
  3. Moong dal 3 tbsp 
  4. Toor dal 2 tbsp
  5. Masoor dal 1 tbsp
  6. Green chillies 3 - 4
  7. Ginger 1/2 inch 
  8. Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  9. Onion (chopped) 2-3 medium size
  10. Mushrooms (finely chopped) 7-8
  11. Jeera 1/2 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder one pinch
  13. Besan 1.5 tbsp
  14. Salt to taste
Procedure:
  • Wash dals and soak them in water for at least 4 hrs.
  • Drain dals and add ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  • Grind without adding water.
  • Add mushrooms, onion, besan, jeera, turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • Mix well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and leave spoonful of batter.
  • Deep fry on medium flame till they turn light brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
Note:
  • You can use various veg combinations like onion+spinach/potato/corn, cabbage+spinach/potato, only cauliflower etc.
  • This batter can be used even for making dosas by adding suji (no fermentation required).
